GEGO EXHIBITION

This project revolves around the creation of promotional pieces for the Gego Exhibition hosted at the Guggenheim Museum. Gego wove groundbreaking artworks that pushed the boundaries of line, space, and volume. Channeling the spirit of Gego's artistic skill, I created two captivating posters and a compelling social media advertisement.

Inspired by Gego's distinctive style, the focus of my exploration was on the nuanced interpretation of abstraction. I sought to unravel the intricacies within her work, revealing the underlying systems of transparency, tension, fragility, and spatial relations. These elements became the narrative thread that wove through my promotional pieces, offering viewers a glimpse into the mesmerizing world of Gego's creations.

I used the color scheme of black and white, punctuated with hints of red—a palette reminiscent of her iconic works. This deliberate choice of color not only added layers of depth and sophistication but also maintained an inherent minimalism that echoed the essence of Gego's aesthetic. In essence, these promotional pieces serve as a visual journey, inviting the audience to delve into the abstract realm of Gego's masterpieces.
